3-Day Hands-On Immersion Class for New Statler Users

When: Sep 29, 2019
9:00 am

This class is designed for new Statler Owners/Users who want an intense class in three of the most flexible techniques on the Statler Stitcher machine.  You will work individually on a dedicated Statler longarm machine completing three different quilts.  At the end of the three days you will be able to:

  • Load a quilt straight & square
  • Quilt a quilt using Repeat Pattern
  • Advance & relocate your stitching design
  • Use Stitch In the Ditch (SID) to stabilize a quilt
  • Apply Border & Corner designs “seamlessly”
  • Apply Block / Sashing / Border patterns to create a custom quilting design

We have 5 Statler Longarm machines .  We ask that you bring 3 small quilts (simple to make) with you for this class.  Specific pattern details will be provided for all attendees well in advance of the class.    In order to complete the activities planned for each day of the class, all attendees need to be working on the same concepts and designs at the same time:

  • Quilt #1 (Repeat Pattern)
o   Double Nine Patch – measuring 36” x 45”   OR
o   Rail Fence – measuring 42” x42”   OR
o   Any quilt that is 45” x 45” or less AND will be quilted in a simple overall design
  • Quilt #2 (Borders and Corners)

o   Center panel with 2 borders – measuring 36” x 42”

  • Quilt #3 (Blocks & Sashing)

o   A Variable Star quilt with12 (3 by 4 setting) 12” blocks – measuring 46” x 60”

You will leave with 3 completed (or nearly completed) quilt samples, lots of practice and the skills needed to apply these skills to your future longarm quilting, personal or “quilting for hire”.

Space is very limited so do not wait.   The cost for this class/workshop is $500.  Lunch will be provided each day. You can register for the class by email at or by phone at 651-214-4545.  If you would like to be on the waiting list for future classes, email us at and we will notify you as soon as we have dates scheduled.
